earth strap

Postby peterheywood52573 » Fri Dec 23, 2022 1:16 pm

Can anyone advise on the position of the earth strap? I took the engine out in early 2022. In my bag marked timing chest, there is a bolt with an earth strap attached. Have I made a mistake? Non of my many photos give a clue.

Hello Peter,

the most common place is at one of the engine mountings so as to connect the engine to the chassis, so the earth strap is relatively short. Does that sound feasible to you?

Ah good, Alec. At least I know this is an original and proven position. Does it matter left or right?

Hello Peter,
