Removal of engine cover

Postby sportbrake » Sun May 29, 2022 10:21 am

I notice that most engine covers on the F Type seem to stain easily which I find annoying. I would like to remove cover and spray it. I have not removed cover before. Is this a simple process? Sorry for such a simplistic question. Chris

Hi sportbrake,
Have not removed cover myself but from what I have read it just pulls off.
Try pulling at each corner with a little force and it should come away.
I have found these two threads about the engine cover which you might find interesting.

Good luck and take care.

The engine covers on the V6 and V8 engines do just pull off. Pull vertically to avoid damaging the fixings. Usually, they require a sharp tug to release the first fixing. Then, the others follow more easily. Mike.
