Headlining replacement

Is it possible to use the original headlining material as fitted to my X100 and either have it preferably re glued to the original backing card or to a new fibreglass backing?
Re: Headlining replacement
I had my XKR headlining replaced by G&D Motors, Falmouth 2years ago. Cost was £150 for the trim + £47.50 to remove and refit + vat = £351 total. I asked the same question as you and even considered attempting to re-glue the original lining to the foam backing, which in retrospect after seeing the old lining he returned to me would have been a disaster. The foam was disintegrating and no way would have supported a new lining. I was worried about matching the original colour which was ivory or beige as the rest of the interior was in superb condition for a 2004 model. I was absolutely delighted with the finished product and the cost was extremely good value imho. Good luck!
XKR 2004 Coupe' in BRG, Ivory leather and traditional Jaguar walnut dash. Super bodily condition and window seals recently attended. Mechanically work completed with front sub-frame mounts and ball joints, suspension overhaul, AC renewal.
Re: Headlining replacement
You don't say where you are located but I took my X100 to Headliner World in Kent and they supplied and fitted for £400. Took them about 3 hours whilst we went for a walk.
Having recently taken the headlining out of a Land Rover Discovery of the same age I can confirm what @DaveO says - everything just disintegrates as soon as you touch it.

Re: Headlining replacement
I've just completed this job on my XK8 and like Lucky, I used Headliner-World to supply a complete new headliner in the original Oatmeal colour.
I can confirm that re-using the original cloth is unrealistic! Crumbly foam everywhere! A new fibreglass board, covered in Oatmeal (Beige) or Grey material plus two extra pieces for the A pillars was £120 + £30 delivery. I did the job myself and it certainly took me a lot longer than three hours - more like a couple of days! Not difficult, but fiddly removing all the ancillary stuff.
I've nearly completed an illustrated How-To article for the magazine describing how I did it and if the editors see fit to publish it, it might persuade you to have a go at home!
