E10 and engine converted to run unleadedunleaded

Help appreciated - in 2017 I had my 4.2 Series 2 E Type converted to run on unleaded. Will it be ok to use the new E10 fuel? I only do a few hundred miles each year.

Hi, the likely answer is yes to the E10 compatibility (as far as the engine is concerned), but if you want to be safe / certain, go for the slightly more expensive Super grade petrol at the fuel station, it remains at E5 for the time being.

Hello Bryan,

as the ethanol attacks the rubber hoses and anything copper or copper alloys then it is possible you will suffer damage evntually.
Personally I will be avoiding E10 for as long as I can and then adapt or replace all suspect meterials.

Agree with both, I always go for super unleaded, not sure how long that's going to stay as E5 though?
