How to access ECU & Transmission Control Unit

Hi, I have a 1996 normal XK8 coupe, however I’m trying to access the ECU and Transmission Control Unit but they are located under a security screwed cover - think they are called clutch head/bow tie type screws - can anybody advise what tool will remove theses screws...

If I had that problem, I'd get a screwdriver of the right width, lightly grind the two sides and end of it to get sharp edges, then also grind/file away the centre of the blade enough to clear the centre of the screw. With luck, the screws won't be too tight so that when you push the 'driver hard against the screwhead and turn anti-cw, it will bite sufficently to get it out. May need a tap with a hammer to bite.
Replace the security screws with standard ones!

Just looked in my Laser Tools box of hex bits and found some of these ready made . Worth a try

If they are the same security screws as the X308 which are like this:

I got them out with a flat head screwdriver and light pressure,they're not that good.

Thank you for all the advise, seen John (To The Garage) on YouTube and using a large flat screw drive as also advised by Andy - and hay presto - they are out.....luckily the gearbox issues have not reappeared but at least I can get to the transmission control unit if required....
