Heel pad wanted

Postby coupe » Sun Feb 28, 2021 6:41 pm

Hello XJS forum.
Help needed.
I am looking for a heel pad in grey or beige for my coupe as per pictures. other colours considered.
Handed over to a trimmer for restitching and carpet edging repair and he's lost the heel pad?
Anyone out there who can help please.
The missing part of the jigsaw of a prestoration over the last 12months after 20 years of ownership and a JEC member all that time.
Carpet and heel pad or just on its own is helpful.
All suggestions welcomed as have found any ebay or facebook offerings.

thanks
David

coupe,

That's really unfortunate! Sadly, he's lost a part that is very difficult to source. I wouldn't be happy with him! Maybe ask him to find one?

And grey ones are less common than beige ones.

The slightly good news is that the heel pads are not handed so you could buy a used LHD carpet mat and cut out the pad. There's one pair of
LHD beige footwell mats on UK ebay at present.

The other way is to leave it bare at present until you can find one, and fit a pair of overmats with a carpet or vinyl heelpad. I would fit overmats anyway if I was you.

Good luck

Thanks Robv12 for pointing me to GB trim, i had heard of them but gone in the winds of time.
So, I did contact Graham at GB trim Nuneaton and he had a correct size heel pad available which the trimmer collected and paid for so he's been forgiven on that score.
Jigsaw nearly completed.
