X350 3.0 V6 petrol Sump Gasket

Postby JagmanXJR03 » Wed Dec 30, 2020 12:29 pm

Hello all.
Has anyone hands on experience of changing the sump gasket (jaguar C2S43270) on a 3.0V6 petrol?
I have a very small leak, and I know this is where the leak is, wondering how easy / hard it is.

Hi kentjagman,
I've just had a look on jaguarforums.com and it seems to be quite a time consuming job.
Here's a link to a couple of threads I found:
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xj-x ... mp-130194/

The S-Type V6 3.0 has the same problem:
https://www.jaguarforum.com/threads/s-t ... eak.54466/

I was quite surprised to find out you have to lift the engine or drop the subframe to allow access to all the bolts.
2.5/3.0 V6 engine- time to replace sump is listed as 3.0 hrs.
Hope that helps a bit.
Good luck and stay safe.
If possible have a good New Year
