Word cannot begin to say how truely incensed i felt on reading the sellers text with regard the above car.

He or she should hang their head in shame. and if you read the text, you could well agree.

MOREOVER- i urge all pre-HE owners to boycott this person.
Unfortunately,this type of thing happens all too often, and by buying, it will encourage others to do likewise.

If so I think I can see what your saying (?).....rare, low mileage car and so on.

However, if I'd bought said car and been offered over £3000 for the engine I think I may have taken the money and offered the buyer's guide dog some Pedigree Chum. (No offence to visually impaired readers etc. etc.)

It is a sad fact that most people don't view these cars as we do, just as a collection of parts that will make smaller more modern cars go faster!
The flathead V12(pre HE) is a sought after engine for racing, apparently.
Another sad fact is that almost any XJS is worth more broken for spares than as a whole car!
In short, don't hold against him, buy it and an engine and keep another one on the road for us idiots!
