Does anyone have the correct part number for the brake micro switch mine is 1998 xk8
Re: Brake micro switch replacement
These switches can suffer from dry solder joints, so you could try removing the switches, testing them to check their operation and then re-soldering them if they're OK. However, at the age they are, having got them out you might as well replace them.Only the whole switch pack is available as a Jaguar part at about £120, but a suitable microswitch is Omron D2HW-A231D. There are so many variations of arrangements of this switch, getting the exact one you want can be difficult! Nevertheless, one version can often, easily be adapted for another. For instance, this link to one on Ebay is the best I can find tonight
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/D2HW-BL261D- ... Swjlxc6Y9o
It shows one that just needs those two projections removing for it to be OK. On others (Google Omron D2HW-A231D), note the different types of terminals and levers!
Don't forget to reset the ratchet fully forward and let the pedal adjust it back automatically when first applied.
However you fix it, good luck putting the whole unit back above the brake pedal! The method that was most successful for me was to pass a length of fishing line down through each of the bolt holes by the brake servo, attach them to the studs and get another helper to pull the unit up while you guide it from below straight to the holes (you hope!

Re: Brake micro switch replacement
It is possible to replace the micro switch by utilising the existing bracket. You can do this single handed if you need to. I put a ‘how to’ post back in 2015.

To answer the original question:
There are 2 different switches, one for X100's with Cruise Control & one for X100's without Cruise Control
Without Cruise Control LJB6420AB
With Cruise Control LJB6420BB
LJB6420BB can be used on XK's fitted with or without Cruise Control as the switch bodies are the same (the only difference is internally, ...BB has 2 micro witches & ...AB 1 micro switch) & both use the same electrical connector
If you use LJB6420AB on an XK with Cruise Control you should not enable Cruise Control via the switch near the Gear Selector or you will get numerous error messages
