Hi Folks
Exhaust Systems.... Just working through the restoration of this 1996 4.0 Coupe - I'm just fitting new Cats and need a full 'cat-back' exhaust system to replace the old standard item. Can anyone recommend a decent system here in the UK - not too loud and ideally one that I won't need a mortgage for.......

Have a word with SNG Barratt. It's a while since I checked but they were offering reasonably priced replacement systems with just a hint more V8 woofle than standard. With spares day not too far away, you might also be able to get a 10% discount by picking it up from Stoneleigh. Mike.

Re: Replacement Exhaust System - Cat Back
Hello,
I upgraded to a full Cat back Arden Exhaust system with single pipes on my 2001 model year XK8. I believe the exhaust note is absolutely perfect for the Jaguar. It has a (non droning) wonderful exhaust note with the odd burp which lets the car maintain the Gran Turismo (GT) feel while still letting one know that there is a 4L V8 engine under the bonnet.
It is made of wonderful quality stainless steel but is rather pricy compared to other offerings.
The beauty of this system is that it can be matched to excellent lowering springs and other elements to make an Arden Performance upgrade similar to the R performance accessories which came as a optional upgrade for the XK8 and XKR.
