Dash facia covering material

Postby heronscourt » Mon Mar 25, 2019 8:06 pm

I need to re-cover the dashboard facias on my 1968 etype roadsters but cant find what the correct material is. Its not rexine or blown vinyl and appears to be a fairly hard plastic with an embossed leather look. It looks as if it probably had to be warmed to make it sufficiently flexible to mould to the facia shapes. Any ideas what it is and wherr can i get it. Tried Woolies but no luck there.

I'm fairly certain that the original type material is no longer available.
I used the heavy grained Woolies vinyl
https://www.woolies-trim.co.uk/product/ ... nide-black.
It is coarse like the original, but cloth backed. I think they will send you a sample if you ask.
