Locating engine numbers

I have a 2015 XF Portfolio with the Ford Diesel 2.2 engine. I need to locate the engine number, the tag on the front cover has long since dropped off and I cannot see where the engine number is with visual inspection. The MOT in Portugal requires identification to establish the number in the registration document is correct. Anyone know where it is?
