Is it still the Kemble Airfield in Cirencester? I might be able to make this one.

Yes - still at AV8 cafe. Cotswold Airport. Cirencester GL7 6BA. We usually meet between 9 and 9.30.
The usual navigational warning - follow signs to Cotswold Airport and NOT Kemble Airfield. They are on opposite sides of the runway but 10-15 minutes drive to get round!
Mac - it would be great to see you and my old car there. I'll leave it to you to guess which one of you I'm most looking forward to seeing!

Just got back from a 100 mile round trip to AV8, had a great drive in the winter sun with the top down and a hot chocolate at AV8 for the drive home, what a great car and 22 years old.

Well, it started, but only after I schlepped back to the house to get a pint of warm water to defrost the locks so that i could get in.
had a lovely 130 mile round trip; home, Kemble, Oxford (rodents now frozen to death on the boat), Wantage and back to home.
Car drove faultlessly apart from the complete and utter lack of heating which, given that it was -3 when I set off, was a bit challenging.
Not helped by trying to clean the ice off the inside of the windscreen with the same leather gloves that the dog had just covered in slobber.
Quite surprised on the way back as to how swift the Volvo XC90 is; it wasn't until we got up to nearly licence losing speeds that he started to fall back; curse that stupid 3 speed auto box!
It was like having the Exxon Valdez in your mirrors, not going away.
Anyway; fun, fun, fun.

As usual meet at the AV8 café 9am onwards for a good hearty breakfast and a chat.
May not be there myself as I'm busy at work but I may be able to skive off for a bit!
