Don't know whether the extraneuous chrome is factory or aftermarket. Looking at the plate, its not Naki selling it is it? If not maybe he should buy it!

Thought it looked familiar. Obvious from the ad wording, a dealer looking to make a turn. Mine's got half the mileage, and needs a bit more love, but we'll get it there, especially if i sell the XJ-S. What's the mileage on your museum piece now, do you use it much?

Don't forget to photo the odometer at 11111 miles. Or 17777 km if you flick the switch!

I'm also aware of a 1995 XJR6 manual in BRG that sold last week for a whisker under 11K, 55K miles and by all accounts a nice enough car, previously unknown to us as a survivor, these cars day is coming, you heard it here first if course!!

I think a lot of these classic auction cars get picked up by dealers. Especially aimed at being dumped on ebay.
Its not me, though i did go to see it, as i have followed the movements of this car over the past few years, but this was the first opportunity to actually see the car. well the doors were locked so no internal viewing, but i scrutinised the bodywork and underside.
If anyone is interested to hear my opinion/ valuation/ detailed pics of the car, feel free to PM.
But suffice to say my valuation of the car is significantly less than the current and previous sales prices.

It was the 'Gal' that noticed that the car was on the mileage, and by the time she got the camera out, and nearly pushed me out the way to get the shot, we were one over. This during summer.

Somewhere, I have a photo that I took on a cheap Kodak Instamatic in 1978 of the speedo in my first car, a 1962 Vauxhall FB Victor as it clicked over from 99999 to 00000. Now that WAS a feat in those days as the idea of a car doing 100,000 miles was pretty unusual and presumably the reason that speedos didn't even run to 6 digits then! Must go and dig out the photo.....
