Where to fit the CD unit (XJ40 Sovereign 1994)?

Hi All,

Apologies if this already been covered elsewhere

I now have a 6 disc unit ready to install. I have located the cd cable, connected-up the unit and tested; all good! I was then hoping to suspend the unit horizontally in much the same way as I had done with my old X300. Unfortunately no such luck; I could well be blind, but I could not locate any threads that would match up with the brackets

So any idea where the unit is meant to mounted? I'm out of ideas currently and would like avoid drilling any holes!

Looks like I need 2 * JLM12228 (cd mount brackets). Really annoying as these look as rare as hens teeth

So would you happen to have two that could be for sale (brackets - not XJ40's - in enough trouble already!) ?

This isn't going to help much, but I will post some pics once I have the older style XJ40 cd unit in place.

Ah! So that's what the older style CD Changer and brackets look like! You busy cleaning-up the corrosion in the boot floor currently?
