xjs rear screen surround/ and glass fitment

hello all has anyone out there fitted a rear screen glass and chrome trim to the xjs model my car is a pre he and looking the weekend I can see the chrome trim has a lip which looks like it slides over the seal but how is this done when the glass is in the car or do you build it up then fit glass and seal as one anyone done this any help

build it up , hold in place with tape and then string it in

removing the tape as you go ,

i did the corner bits once the screen was in
