So the XJ was delivered from Belfast yesterday, first time I actually got to touch it in the metal. Love the colour, spent the whole morning giving it a deep clean and polish...looking forward to going out for a drive tonight...

Magnificent, Ray!
Yes, I really would love one. Then I would have to take it to bits and mod everything I could find on the market as go-go parts....
Looks fantastic in that red.

Re: Finally - hands on
Thanks chaps.
I feel a couple of articles coming on for Nigel....
I am afraid taking her apart is one of the things Mike, I am unlikely to be doing...and the perimeter alarm is armed as well so no sneaking around with a bag of tools at the AGM!!

Re: Finally - hands on
After many many years of Teutonic engineering I took the plunge and bought an XJ last month to share the garage with my Mk 2.
It is a 2013 3.0D Portfolio with 21000 miles in Cashmere with navy leather, colours which we think go well together.
So far very pleased but look forward to the weather improving so that we can exploit the car further!
Happy New Year to everyone

Happy New Year, and welcome to this forum - please let us have a picture or two of the new steed when you have a moment as well as any comparisons and reflections after a few weeks. I am sure you will enjoy exploring the limits of the XJ's drivability!

Normally I would be pleased to attend events such as Kemble, but the 30th is my birthday and Mrs L is whisking me away for the weekend.
But no doubt there will be future events............
