Well, that's Cadwell Park over and done with for another year...........
Sunday weather was good with only a couple of spots of rain until late in the afternoon.
An early walk round the Paddock revealed the carnage from Saturday, there were several XJS cars in various states of shunt - one at least back on it's trailer for the journey home, another expertly repaired with cardboard and gaffer tape, did the biz - it lasted all day!.......We actually passed an xjs heading home on Saturday afternoon with a rear shunt evident.
On the day, BB member Steve Davis took the Laurels and stole the show with two wins out of two in his immaculate blue 6000cc coupe (Car No 15) to add to a win on Saturday......very well done Steve, we were cheering you all the way
Gail Hill spun/went off at "The Gooseneck" in the XJS race but completed the "Future Classics" race in car 39 sharing the drive with Chris Boon.
Unfortunately Glenn R suffered a seized viscous fan coupling which prevented us from meeting up, did any other forum members make it?
I have posted my pics on AOL (only 214.........
Paddock Walk Around - first thing Sunday
Future Classics Qualifying - mid -morning
Toyo Tyres XJS Championship - last race before lunch - check out the start, it was WILD!
Northern saloon and Sports Car Championship (Classes A E F G) - mid afternoon (Luvverly Red Ferrari 360 )
Future Classics - about 4.00pm.
Pics taken in The Paddock, Collection Area, Hall Bends, but mostly from a new viewing area for us on the "far side of the track" opposite The Mountain, great view of Start/Finish, "The Mountain" and "Gooseneck".
Personally I think that apart from the XJS Series the Future Classics should be a great one to watch........Lancia Beta, XJS, Capri, BMW M3, Porsche 911, TR7 (don't laugh - it pushed Steve D all the way and came in a well deserved second!!! (Well - 3.9 litres under the bonnet.....
Pictures should be accessable here......
