Hi Ian,
In the absence of someone recommending a good trimmer local to you, I'd suggest checking if you have a local branch of Furniture Clinic near at hand. I believe it's a franchised operation which, although the HQ is in Gateshead, has a number of outlets around the country. The Club has had some good trim seminars run by Furniture Clinic and the company has demonstrated some good repair skills and techniques. Mike.

Re: Seat Refurb
May be also worth trying to find a good second hand seat from a reputable breaker such as Eurojag or a look on ebay. Auto Reserve (Andy) is another good source of parts.
Second hand parts are always worth investigating as a cost effective and quick alternative. Prices can be surprisingly cheap especially on ebay.
Most breakers are keen to shift car interior parts on. They are bulky and easily damaged. At one time I got a good used sports seat set up for my S-type for £100. Worth every penny and sometimes they come for less money than that. Make a note of your trim code then have a bit of a hunt around. You might strike lucky.
