Attaching Pics/album

Postby Azure123 » Fri Sep 05, 2014 9:13 am

Well here I am trying to attach pics/album. I believe I have created an album although all I can view seems to be the first picture of my car in the grounds of Harewood House. I can't seem to work out how you see all the pics one after the other. Anyway I can see when I click on Img the same letters appear twice in the narrative in brackets below but I don't know what to do next. Could anyone talk me through what I do next please. Also could someone confirm my album exits and can be viewed with all images viewable. I'd be very grateful.

Regards

Steve,

A few comments:

You had loaded the album and pictures correctly. However, there seemed to be a bug in the website which meant that you could only see one picture. I spoke with our webman and he has fixed the problem which means you can now see the eight pics. And very nice the car looks too!!

There are a number of ways that you can post pics into a BB post. i won't describe all of them but they include:

- hosting the picture on a photo website such as Photobucket and then displaying the picture in the post by using the Image
5. Right click mouse and select "Paste" (or type Ctrl V). This pastes the full url address of the picture inbetween the img parameters.

As an example, if we take the first picture in your album and do the above, it would look like this in the text of the post you're creating:

img]http://www.jec.org.uk/registers/x350/ga ... 1001-1.jpg[/img]

(I've missed off the first square bracket above in order that you can just see the text.)

And the picture will then display as below:

It might sound all a bit messy but it works very easily when you get used to it!

I hope that helps

Thanks very much Paul, I will study all you have written and replicate the two tabs suggestion. I appreciate the time you took to sit down and go to the trouble of detailing the processes after my appeal for someone to assist me. I have basic computer skills unlike most people these days.

Once again thanks. :D

Steve,

I'm more than pleased to try and help. I tried to keep the language fairly simple, but if I have used terminology that doesn't make sense to you, do feel free to post back or drop me an email at paul.sinnott@jec.org.uk

Also, please don't be worried about asking what might sound naive questions. The only way that any of us become knowledgeable in anything is by asking questions!
