It was great to meet everyone, and enjoy a hearty breakfast as well. This was a brilliant idea, simple and enjoyable.

Hopefully next time a few more of you will be able to make it.

Well done Vince

I hope you didn't have the thunderstorm we had at Castle Combe about 11.30. Black as night, thunder and lightning, torrential rain followed by massive hailstone shower........water three inches deep on the roadways!
......and then, the sun came out and it was glorious all afternoon!
A typical summers day in England :D

NB Did the Canberra go off to display at Goodwood whilst you were there?

BB,

Glad that you had a good run-out despite the weather!

Why not ask Brian to put this arrangement in the JEC diary and also ask him to ensure that it sits in the events of XJS significance in the diary on the XJS Forum website pages?

Awesome BB,
All these things start somewhere. As soon as there is a date that does not conflict with anything I am doing I will join up with you.

Sorry I could not make... We did not take the cat to the Strawberry Fayre either as it hissed it down from midday onwards on the Sun :(

If you have a steer on future dates, I can add to the XJS diary as Paul suggests. Maybe a brief write-up would be in order so that we could also include a short piece in the magazine XJS pages (along with dates).

thanks everyone for the positive comments

next one looks to be on July 26th same place, same times , and all marques are welcome, ( XJ8 , XJ40 , XK8 ,E-Type , X-Type , S-Type etc etc) , this is not just for XJS's ,

i was thinking of calling it

' Drive and Dine ' ........... ( not ' Show and Shine', lol )

i may even run down to the Cheddar event myself......

BB,
See what I mean about a busy calendar, Im in Silverstone that weekend, typical. But again good luck, I like the "Dine and Drive".

If you can make the Cheddar meet I will buy you a coffee.

I'm also at Silverstone on the Sat 26th :(

Meanwhile XJS Diary updated with a new entry for the 26th;
XJS Drive and Dine Monthly
Informal Breakfast meet open to all Jaguars

To view the diary, choose "XJS" model forum. The diary renders on right-hand side.

Thanks, Rich
