From my understanding, LSDs are fine in a brake test as they are only testing at 3.5mph max and won't be putting any where near the forces that would be exerted on the road. Really tight LSDs have been known to spit cars out of the rollers though. Shouldn't be an issue on an XJS though?BB,
I know we've had this conversation before, but are modern rollers ok to test an LSD-equipped car such as the XJS, in your opinion? I thought that rollers induced "wind-up"in the diff? Perhaps modern rollers work differently? I always point out to the MoT tester that the car has an LSD and so they test the brakes using a Tapley meter instead.

But my Sierra is 4x4 with a viscous coupling, so the brake test has to be done with a Tapley meter. IMO the test they have to do is mostly pointless as even with nearly the most useless brakes in the world a decelorometer will give a passable reading. Sticking arms out the sun roof nearly passes it
BB - Great news on the Pass though!
