Manual 2+2 XJS, please...

Postby Cossington » Fri Mar 07, 2014 9:48 pm

Hi,

I've sold my TVR, the garage is empty.

I am looking for a manual XJS. I am looking for a cherished car, in good condition, with as much history as possible. Age and engine size are secondary considerations.

Must be manual and 2+2, (which is likely to make it a 3.6 or 4.0 coupe, but open to a cabrio or V12 manual conversion etc).

I am hoping to find one for around £5,000, but have lots of flexibility for the right car.

If you have one, or see one on your travels, for sale, I'd love to hear about it. I am Midlands based, but if it is the right one, can travel.

Many thanks,

David

Hi David,

I have a manual XJ-S 3.6 with about 110000 miles recorded in Arctic Blue colour and half leather trim. Excellent body and paint and mechanics in good order. Currently on SORN.

Looking for £3500 or in that region

Peter,

I followed the link. I spoke to the vendor(s). They seem to be traders, with the car in Sussex - the wrong side of London for me unless making a proper outing (and the ad stated 'private sale'.).

Thanks for keeping an eye open for me.

Best wishes,

David
