Hi All
Does anyone know the correct way the door sill rubbers on a series 2 2+2 should be fitted, upwards or downwards ?
They are angled so that they either point downwards or upwards.
With the rubbers pointing downwards they appear to show through the bottom of the door and if the point upwards it would seem as if water and dirt will sit in the groove.
Please help me to solve this and fit them correctly ????
thanks
Nick
E Type Door Sill Rubbers
Re: E Type Door Sill Rubbers
Hi Nick,
The rubbers should be installed with the big lip facing out and downwards. It is normal for the seal to be compressed by the door and be visible in the gap between the bottom of the door and the sill.
Regards,
Arthur

Re: E Type Door Sill Rubbers
Are you sure Arthur? If they face down the lip of seal becomes visible below the door. I have had them facing up for the last 30 years and am about to replace them and when you offer them up the natural fit appears to have the lip upwards. Can anyone else confirm which is correct BD28447 is the sill rubber part number.
