Has anyone any experience with fitting Winter Tyres to a 3.0ltr XF 'S'?
Current tyre size 255/35/R20 97Y.

Yes, last October I purchased a set of winter tyres, just partly worn on a set of 19 inch alloys for my 3.0 XFS. I was v lucky they only cost £400 quid on eBay and the seller lived 20 miles from me!
With the winter we had they were the best investment I could have made; I have a sloping driveway and with standard tyres on snow/ice I could never get off the drive; in 2012 I had to work from home for ten days!
The winter tyres got me off the drive no problem. In normal cold winter conditions they feel a little bit firmer than the summer tyres but it could all be subjective.
Having two sets of alloys helps as I can change the whole lot myself in 30 minutes without the charges of a tyre fitter..
