You may remember that whilst at Cadwell Park not only did my new rear number plate fall off never to be found, but also the boot lock barrel came out with the key when I tried to lock it
No problem thought I, out with the CD Rom and there it is, "Kit-Lock Repair". A phone call to HA Fox and miracle! Jaguar still stock it at £40.
Within a couple of days it's in my hand.
Now you, like me may have expected to receive a new lock with a couple of keys..Oh No. What I have got is a "new lock" in all its constituent parts, springs, tumblers, clips, pins, roundy bits, and so on. I think the idea is to build a new lock to fit your existing key, only one drawback, NO INSTRUCTION SHEET!
Obviously the service manual doesn't cover this (to ME) obscure operation. I haven't dared to even open the packet in case I lose some of the fiddly bits
SO Does anyone have any guidance or even better a sheet of instructions
NB They thoughtfully include a nice sachet of grease.
