Red x300 xj6 HRK 1, anyone seen it ?

Hello all,

I am the owner of a pale blue 1969 series 1 xj6, on my heritage certificate it shows that the first registration number was HRK 1, after a little research I have found that HRK 1 is currently on a red 1995 xj6, I am thinking/hoping that as the number is still on a road legal xj6 that the owner may have a connection to my car, it would be great to speak with the owner of HRK 1 to find out if he has any knowledge/memory of my car. If anyone knows of or has seen the red xj6 with registration HRK 1 please let me know.

Thanks but i was aware of that, Ive known it was on a taxed road legal car for a few years, ive contacted dvla to try to get them to get in touch with the registered keeper on my behalf but they didnt really want to know, I'm hoping that as its a number thats easily remembered some eager eyed jag enthusiast will spot it and if poss draw the owners attention to my interest in the number, or just let me know whete it wad spotted.

The car its now registered to is a red 1995 X300 XJ6 3.2

I've been through the membership car details to see if the car is owned by one of our members and it doesn't appear to be. However, as sadly over 70% of members don't bother to update their membership records with the precise details of their cars, it could still mean that it is actually owned by a JEC member.

You could try writing to the magazine editor, Nigel Thorley, and ask him to place the details in the mag in the section where we try and trace previously owned cars.

If as i suspect the current owner of HRK 1 is the same owner or connected in some way to the original owner of my car i would not really expect them to be JEC enthusiasts, possibly just an older/retired person that always had new jaguars as company cars and kept the latest one (1995) on retirement, therfore not jaguar enthusiasts as such just someone thats chosen jaguar as their preferred mode of transport. I know as a jag fan myslef i always notice other jags out and about especially older models and cars with nice numbers, so i am hoping that other members will keep their eyes peeled for the car and the reg number.

DVLA will not release details unless you are the registered keeper, you will also need some other forms of id in your name and address, unless, the car in question has been involved in an accident or incident, you will then need to provide a police report to go with your submission, I know as I am trying to get the history of one of my cars to obtain its original reg number
