well.........

i must admit there is some trepidation with regard to driving the car, no so much wear and tear , but building faith in the engine etc ,
as it has been sat for twelve years without being used , eight in my ownership !

i do have some transmission noise at the moment, GM400 3 speed box, and i have done a fluid and filter change last week , but the drive surfaces may have a little corrosion , and it has been known for them to 'loosen ' up after a few miles of driving normally , this will be done next weekend i think , as i am not taxing her till April ,

as for driving it, it will be normal , i dont intend to do many miles, and am in fact limited to 2K at the moment, so will be high days and holidays for the time being , Got to see if i can pluck up the courage to do the Gaydon meet ,

I have complete faith in your work........ anyway you should be able to put a few miles on it prior to the day.
If the gearbox is going to pack up it might as well do it on the way to Gaydon as anywhere else.......at least you'll have a few friends to help out we can come back together if you like and I'll provide tea and sympathy if it conks on the way home....I'm used to this role ask Mike Kennedy.......
