Hi All, Just to let you know I have just sold my 2002 X-Type yesterday morning and yesterday afternoon went out and purchased a 2005 XK8 convertible with just 39k miles on the clock. I believe it is quite unique - but you are the ones to tell me if I am wrong - as the colour is Seafrost woth Ivory interior. Well what do you say? 8)

welcome

Seafrost is an uncommon colour , especially on the XK , its usually found more on the XJ8 , and is usually combined with an Oatmeal or Oatmeal/Antelope interior , AGD ?

The use of ' Ivory ' is unusual , if not incorrect , but not impossible , but seems a little light in colour to go with the Seafrost

either way

enjoy your new motor

Yes, I thought it was an unusual colour. I don't think I have seen another one like it. I have seen the purchase reciept from the orginal owner and I know he paid £60,000 dead for the car, so there must be some extra's as I believe the car price was around £55k new.

I hope you enjoy your car even if you have to wait a while to take the top down. Last years raffle car was a 2006 XK Coupe in Seafrost.

The raffle car for 2013 will be revealed in the March magazine.

Welcome to the XK8 forum Doug X.
Great looking car you have bought. But surely it won't take you 'till summer to take her out with the roof down.
There is nothing like an old flying jacket to keep the wind off  :D

Happy motoring.

Got it and enjoying it. What a beast! Have a problem with the headlights misting up but believe there is a air vent kit that can be fitted. I was told that this should be fitted free by the Jaguar dealer! Oh no it's not! When I asked my local dealer he said the headlights would have to come out and we are looking at £172:80 to undertake!!!! WOT! Words with the Dealer Principle reduced it to £60. I would much prefer to pay £60 than £172:80!!! Bring on the summer please!!!!

Hi Doug, reading your post reminded me of seeing a seafrost XK with ivory interior. It was in San Francisco whilst we were on honeymoon 2003.Both my wife and I stopped and stared and said what a classy looking car.Great choice.Enjoy. Paul
