4.2 FHC Top End overhaul?

Postby Greg#46 » Mon Oct 22, 2012 10:16 pm

Gents

A member for 12 months and just renewed. I have 1969 SII 4.2 FHC, owned 12 months, and have done some work around items such as suspension, rear axle, polybush front and back, radius arms, balljoints, general retrim etc but have to tackle a top end rattle (tappet exhaust side) and dont really have the confidence or ability to DIY this one?

Could anyone recommend a good and reliable E Type engine expert in the cheshire area?

I really want someone who could offer a diagnostic and advice service to remedy the problem and also offer advice on whatever other under the bonnet tasks should be prioritised and tackled. Some bits I can do but others I would rather ask for help with....

I live in Warrington and the car is of course on the road and driveable, just a bit rattly?

Any advice or tips gratefully accepted.

Thanks
Greg
