420 celebration ?

After reading many times of how the 420 is a forgotten and much underated model I find myself a little bothered by the fact that every model seems to have some sort of anniversary celebrated in some way,even 10th anniversaries.The 420 has had none and yet without it the XJ6 may have taken longer to develope,so in my eyes it is an important model in the Jaguar time line.
How about starting early and planning a 50th birthday bash for the 420 which if i am right is due in 2016,just over 4 years.Should give us enough time to sort some thing between us as if left to others I feel it will just pass us by un noticed,again.
Any one else up for this .

Yes, why not?

We love our 420 Sovereign, even though she is now suffering debilitating tin-worm. She's laid up until the E-Type is finished but 2016 should see her back to A1 condition.

She's the only car SWMBO has ever described as gorgeous, so she's a keeper.

Count me in.

Hopefully you`re the first of many.I`m going to try and get a bit more interest in this ,maybe a mass drive and meet up at the JDHT or something along those lines.If any one has any idea`s they would be most welcome.This needs to be a group decision to please the majority.

Yes, Whitchurch. You'll probably pass close by in travelling from Manchester to Pant.

There's a lot to do to get it up to snuff. I'm afraid I have to have things just right. Its a failing.

Need to finish E-Type first.
