Small area of rust on front lower valence. I decided to investigate further and found the bottom valence and scoop in some need of tlc
Rust fairly localised but offside corner pretty bad, new shaped plates welded and new bead manufactured (new panel cost over £700 from sng). New airscoop being fitted (a snip from sng I notice one on e bay for double the price) new frame going in at bottom of panel as old one starting to go. Not for the purist so complete bottom valence is going to be lightly painted with stonechip before primer and colour goes on

Re: A small can of worms
Some nice work there
We have been talked into fitting a repro front valance to series 1 E-type recently - the quality is shocking! We spent a few days modifying to get the panel work to line up. Repairing the original would have been much better!
A wise choice here
All the best, keep us posted,
