Hello, I'm Trev, the JEC X-Type Co-ordinator. I have had a suggestion from a member to start building a repair cost database for members to use when estimating costs for services, repairs and modifications. I think it's a great idea and I'd be pleased to hear from anyone who's interested in contributing to this and also those who think they would use such a service?

Boot Lock
Boot Lock failed and had to be replaced. The Jaguar dealer could only find a replacement from another dealer in Germany, this took a week to arrive.
The total cost for the replacement of the lock was £265.81, the lock itself cost £42.22.
I hope this information is useful to members who have to replace their boot lock.

Cant see how its practical
At our insurance approved bodyshop we use software to calculate costs/times for repair and its complicated and expensive.
Audatex software can take years of experience to use correctly.
Even then if parts prices change our system is only as good as when it was last updated but can be wrong if parts have been superceeded or prices changed since last update
