Hi All,
I have just rejoined the JEC after many years away from Jaguars, Selling my XJS back in 2001. That was a bad experiance but that's a different story for another day...
I owned a few Series 2 cars, even wrote 2 articles for the mag about my restorations, but kids came along and it all ended.
I then concentrated on Triumphs, they were cheap and cheerful and kept me busy, buying about 20 over the last decade and I have now settled on a Stag fitted with RoverV8 EFI and 5 speed manual. Its loud and fast.... but I still hanker after the sleek refinement of old Jags so have decided that in the next 3 years I will buy a series 1 Jaguar or Daimler Sovereign or similar.
I have no money spare at the moment and far too many other drains on my wallet to even be thinking about one now, so the next best step was to re join the JEC !
So thought I would post and say hi.
I am in Surbition, Surrey and look forward to getting involved again one day....
Cheers
Stuart
One day I shall buy another....

Hello Stuart,
I owned a SII XJ6 for almost 20 years. It made way for my Double Six three years ago.
I think you may find a SI car with an MoT is quite a rare beast. Figures from the VOSA website for MoT applications in 2007 show fewer than fifty being presented for the test.
Good hunting!

Welcome back
Hi Staurt
Welcome back to the JEC and good luck finding your next Jag. I know what you mean about the drains on the wallet, little people cost even more to run than old Jags!
Regards, David

Stu,
Welcome back to the 'fold'! I have 4 series 1 cars, 3x4.2s and 1 XJ12, all short wheelbased cars. I love them! I have just bought a really nice series3 4.2 as well, which needs a bit of top end work to make it right, but all 3 series cars are the epitome of Jaguar to the general public, and I was surprised to see that so few were on the roads in the UK.
If I can help with anything please PM me as the forum isn't emailing me to tell me of any answers to my posts.
Best of luck in your search, they are really lovely cars.
Phil
