Hi from Sunny Scotland

Hi Folks

I have been a 2001MY XKR owner for some 6 months now, and just joined the JEC.

I have been to a few of your great events over the years, and now just took the plunge and joined up.

I am impressed so far to find such an active club, given that some others dont seem to have anything happening (or no local interest) north of the M25!.

Anyway, I will get along to my next local meet and introduce myself there.

Best Regards

David

Welcome David, Hope you find the bulletin board a useful source of information to help you get the best from your XKR. It's a great club with something for everyone whether they live in the south or the north (I used to live on the Black Isle). Keep smiling! Mike. :D

Hi guys welcome to the forum.........your comments seem quite logical actually.....but i have to mention that i was at Scottish Day last year with the forum (very wet too) and also at Drum Castle but i got no enquiries at all apart from two guys wanting enrolment forms. Its a recognised thing within the JEC that because of logistics carrying the JEC word to more Northern areas is difficult at times.
Myself in Leeds and Nigel Thorley in Doncaster are about the most northerly contacts for the forum........but im open to any email or phone call or any sort of communication...........i would like to hear more of the Scottish and North East members........Joe 8)

Joe, hi: do you know if Nigel Thorley looks in here? I'm near Donnie too?

David its really hard to try and tell anyone just how busy Nigel does get as editor, i dont know if he looks in on us but he does have the final say as to what themes and events are publicised in the monthly magazine.
It depends on what space he has to play with, to select interesting events for the forum on the copy we send him .....that's why the BB and other topical events and car happenings are of interest......some that are posted in here could take a few months or longer depending on the relativity of the post or subject. Both Dave and i will be at Newby Hall and Cadwell this year and would love to chat on the forums progress with all members who care to pay us a visit............Joe .....and Dave of course
