Hi All,
Just joined JEC. I have two jags and thought it about time I joined this club - has been on my to do list for a while.
cars:
2004 Jaguar S Type. 3.0 V6
Fantastic car and a relaxing drive.
Bit too young for it at 28 , I call it an old mans car but secretly love driving it! Have now bought a 1997 XK8 4.0 which I love!
Previous cars have been Fiat Coupe 20v Turbo, Alfa GTV 3.0 V6 and a Range Rover.
The XK8 has had an LPG conversion which I know nothing about so hope others have this too!
Look forward to getting my hands dirty under the hood! I'm the ultimate have-a-go hero!
Sid.

Hi Sid and welcome to the club. There are a few XK owners who have converted and they are all enthusiastic about gas. I only know one who had a bad experience and that was due to a real cowboy company doing the conversion. The XK will give you more smiles per mile that most cars and you won't believe how long it takes before you stop looking in shop windows at your reflection and looking back over your shoulder as you walk away after parking! Enjoy!
Mike.

Hi Sid and welcome to the club. There's no question in my mind about the smiles per mile delivered by XK's - I have a 97 XK8 Convertible and just love it!
From what I hear and read, the LPG conversion is very worthwhile, delivering great economy with no adverse on performance. I also live in Bucks and would be interested to hear any recommendations about garage services / parts etc in the area that you discover.
Happy motoring!
