I have checked the cables and sensors and cleaned all the plugs and sockets around the engine , we have removed the cover to the coils and checked these there is no power to these at all. The fuses and relays have been checked in the boot in the box on the offside of the car. The cutout relay on the passenger end of the dash has been checked and is working correctly.

Have you included the main connector box on the bulkhead in your cleanup? I seem to remember Dave reporting it as a common problem with corrosion in one of the seminars. Other thoughts:

Check Earthing points
Do a code read
Maybe it's a fault in the security module immobilising the car. Try a spare key/fob??
Not sure if a faulty gear selector switch produces this fault but it's a common fault.

Regards
John

Dave Marks's and Paul Grantham's contact details are listed in the front of the JEC mag. Mike.

This car is now working the cylinders and plugs were carboned up and the plugs need replacing the engine was flooded even after a week standing. The plugs were cleaned and the pistons left to dry out it started first time.
Many thanks Graham
