Hi All
Help required please, when i try to lower front passenger window from drivers side door panel its not working !, when i try to lower it from front passenger door panel switch the rear passenger window works instead ! doesn't seem right Any Ideas Please

body processor module giving up?? any other odd faults??

Hi Rob, only other fault ive noticed is rear drivers side door doesn't open with remote fob anymore but its been like that for 4 weeks now and as far as im aware window problem only started today (there again cant remember when i last used passenger window !)

If it were a computer showing that sort of symptom, I'd suspect a bad connection and start by pulling every card off the motherboard and then putting them back. Since a lot of the X308's electronics ARE a computer, it might be worth breaking and rejoining every connection in the door switch circuit (with the battery disconnected just in case you get an airbag connection by mistake).

OK, it's only a bit better than the help desk suggesting "try turning it off and on again", but I do have some evidence it might work: my XJ8's trip computer started scrolling and showing gibberish; the dealer said the instrument pack had been spiked and there was nothing they could do; I took the pack out, reseated every connector on it's circuit board, and hey presto! problem solved.

Thanks Paul, its worth a try at weekend or one night this week if i ever get finished early enough. probably be posting 'numerous electrical faults' when ive finished pulling all wiring about though knowing my look let you knowhowi get on
