hi all
having owned my xj8 for about 2 weeks i am absoloutely over the moon with the car.
i find any excuse to take it out and drive it.however once you start familiarising yourself, you do get to notice a fault or two. my n/s/r door doesnot open from the inside. the door works fine from the outside handle. any ideas guys would be much appreciated
cheers troy.

Troy,

Sounds like the Child-lock is set on.

Troy,

If the child lock on that side is definitely off. then it feels that it could well be the adjustment of the pushrod from the internal handle to the lock catch.

Check the child lock catch one more time on that door and then, if no joy, it's time to get the door card off and check the adjustment.

almost....

it should be a cable ( like a bike brake cable ) , they are known to come out ,or even snap due to lack of use.

fairly easy to replace

Tks for the correction, BB,

I'm clearly spending too much time in the XJS that has rod actuation of the locks!
