Inside Illumination

Hi all,
Being that I work evenings into the early hours of the morning I'm always impressed with the illumination of all the buttons and switches when I switch on the lights.Which you don't get to see so much during the day time hours.
Especially the J-Gate,the whole package just looks so wonderful to me
By the way they are all original spec bulbs,not LED's

Anyway just thought I'd share that with you all.

Very pretty!

Driving my Daimler home yesterday as it got to dusk and the autolights came on, I noticed that one of the bulbs has gone in the speedo, the one on the left looking at the dial from the driver's seat.

Is it an engine out job to replace it?

It's not too bad to do yourself.
This is taken from the workshop manual.
They make it sound simple

I use plastic trim removal tools when taking trim off,which helps not to cause any damage.
When pulling the cluster forward there are two wiring sockets that need to be unclipped if I remember correctly,one each side.
It's been a while since I have done it.

I'll give that try when i've got the relevant bulbs and some trim removers.

Looks not too bad, if a bit of a pain to replace a few bulbs - when I've got the panel out, I'll replace all the bulbs.. What could possibly go wrong?
