Under bonnet slam panel/ headlight plastic cover?

Seasons greetings to you all!!
Does anyone know if the X350 plastic cover which sits above the headlights and across the rad probably bolted to the slam panel would fit the X308? I’m just surprised that Jaguar didn’t fit any protection around the headlights. I tend to notice when I open the bonnet in wet conditions that water gushed off and ok, not all of it goes on the inside but some drops go onto the wiring, which cannot be right.
So if the X350s fits or can be reasonably adapted I’d be keen to know. Anyone any thought?

You may have a problem adapting an X350 slam panel cover for the X308. The major difference is that the X350 bonnet hinges at the back, whereas the X308 is hinged at the front. That could mean there is not enough clearance space around the front area when the bonnet closes without crunching the plastic panel. That could be why Jaguar didn't fit one.

Ah, thanks Brian, I didn’t realise that. So it may be a bit of a gamble to get one I suppose...

I'd be really surprised if the 350 trim panel is anywhere close to being able to fit an x308. I've had both cars and they are very different structures at the front end including the actual dimensions.

If you're trying to avoid water run-off, I think you'd be better just fitting some strips of 4" or similar rubber, positioned in the appropriate places to deflect the water away from the key areas.

I had a similar problem with rain runoff getting inside my boat; I used kit cat guttering or channel.
