Coach lining tape required

My X308R has corrosion forming towards the rear of both rear wheel arches, and to a lesser extent in both front wings ahead of the wheel arches (and for some reason the offside seems affected worse than the nearside?). I'll need to get this attended to since the car is my daily driver, but I'm told that carrying out these repairs will mean losing the factory coach lines when the wing panels are repainted and that these coach lines are no longer available. Does anyone know whether the correct coach line tape is still available? Or if there is a similar substitute?

Secondly, I'm looking for a good body / paint shop in the Three Counties region (Gloucestershire, Herefordshire & Worcestershire) or even a little further afield. Can anybody recommend such a business?

A quick perusal of the Jaguar website seems to imply that coachlines on X308s were painted, rather than taped lines. Their website still seems to advertise the availability of the masking tape which I assume is a specific mask for the line(s) that were originally on the car?

Thanks Paul - that's certainly interesting, and upon closer inspection the coach lines on my car do appear to be painted. I'd always assumed them to be tape. Many thanks again!

I'm aware of Polite Body Shop in Gloucester and have seen what they can do - very impressive! In fact it was Polite who told me coach lines for the X308 are no longer available - which seemed to support my belief they were tape.

But Polite wanted to replace much more of the metalwork in my car than I believe is really necessary - which was reflected in their estimate. I've since visited two more local body shops, both of whom are happy to confine their attention to tackling the corrosion in the wheel arches. On that subject I've been searching for repair panels. SNG Barrett can supply rear wheel arches, but at almost £300 each it's going to be more cost effective for the body shop to fabricate their own repair sections. I'm now hoping to get this work done after Christmas.
