Door Waist Seal Trims

Postby Tattyhead » Mon Sep 07, 2020 12:15 pm

Hello

I have come up against a problem with obtaining the door waist trim seals finished in chrome. Part number is GNA17711AE and is for the LH front door. This part is no longer available from Jaguar Classic or SNG Barrett. Drawn a blank with breakers so far.

I had thought the top of the door was rusting but it is the chrome trim lifting away from the rubber.

Has anyone tried to repair the trims to make them re-usable?

Thank for reading and hope someone can help.

Hi Tattyhead,
Have a look through this post on jaguarforums.com.It might shed some light on the subject.

Never taken any off myself but have read sikoflex holds the front bit to the door.
I always take care when cleaning the car that I do not catch the trim with the polishing cloths :)
Hope that helps.
Take care.
