What colour Pinstripe Emerald Green XJR

Afternoon All, I’m trying to find out what colour the original pinstripe on my car will have been. It’s a 1999 XJR in Emerald Green. Can anybody help? Also were the pinstripes applied free hand or masked with tape? I’ve been talking to a painter who can do both but not sure what to go for. Many thanks Geoff

Hi Geoff,
I have a Emerald Green XJ8 with a Blue Pearl underlay.
Paint code HGG,a real pain to match the paint when it comes to touching up I can tell you:( .
Anyway on to your question about the pinstripe,mine has a sort of Cream coloured pinstripe,I'd like to think it is Ivory to match the Ivory interia but I don't know if they did that much attention to detail.
Have included a few photo's of the pinstripe.

From what I've read I think they were hand painted on,mine looks hand painted.
Also I think the XJR has two pinstripes above the door mouldings which mine doesn't have.
Some people remove the pinstripes as well as the door mouldings but I quite like them .

Can not help with colour, but they were masked with tape according to the parts catalog.

I'm not sure whether you would describe this colour as Emerald Green? But the pinstripe is certainly cream / ivory.

I have a Super V8 in Emerald green and the pin stripe is a bit of a mare when it comes to paint issues, Mine is definitely a single hand painted coach line, which looks Ivory or even a little lighter in colour (almost white). this may have been re-done before my ownership of course!
