Drivers Door Window rubbers

Hi All

I'm back in the Jaguar fold, having purchased a 2002 XJ8 Sport and having an issue with the window glass seal in my drivers door.

When I bought the car the rubber was damaged and wont sit properly in the window frame which results in the window not closing properly and a wind noise when driving the car.

Ive looked on the usual parts retailers and cant seem to find the rubbers for sale. I could look for a 2nd hand part but would prefer new if I can get it.

Does anyone know where I can buy one, or have a part number.

Although I checked, they seem to have, ahem, 'improved' their web site and I could not find the correct section for the seals but a phone call should clarify if they are still available. Failing that then the chaps at Eurojag (01325 722777) might have a really good s/h one - or even know of new stock,

I tried jaguar heritage or classic jaguar whatever their new name is now and did find the part but like when I was restoring my previous facelift xjs the part is unavailable

Will give euro jag a call and see what they say.

"Wheeler Dealers" recently showed a car with a dodgy door seal, and fixed it by poking some rubber tubing inside to add a bit more "rubberiness".

I saw that, it was on a DB7 but sadly mine is ripped and stretched and beyond repair.

Only thing to do to fix is to replace

yep, but these were priced up when I looked and posted the link
