Daimler X308 without coachline

Hi all,

Recently purchased a Daimler X308, '51' plate lwb, great car. Interestingly, does not have a coachline. I though these were handpainted and standard on Daimlers. It has not been removed, so I am wondering if this may be an 'interesting' vehicle. I am applying to DVLA for the first owners's details, if they release them; I know the second owner from the V5. I can't see nay evidence for a re-spray.

Any thoughts anyone?
