Good idea Andy. Did have a battle with the independent Jaguar garage when I asked them to replace the offside caliper too. Bearing in mind they are replacing the discs and pads both sides, so they would have to take off the caliper, they wanted another £250 to do it. They are charging me £129.60 for the caliper, so they wanted to charge me £120.40 for labour. Couldn’t accept that and argued the point. They eventually reduced labour to £60. Still seems excessive bearing in mind they have to take the caliper off to replace the discs and pads, but compromised and accepted their price.
