I need to replace the front brake disks but am having difficulty removing the caliper mounting bracket. I managed to get the top bolt out after a bit of a struggle but the bottom one refuses to move. Any ideas on how I can proceed, do I need to take the hub off and drill out the bolt??

i did this job today , and yes they were hard , as they seem to have thread locking paste on them,
i had to resort to a long breaker ( knuckle ) bar and a 2lb lump hammer, ensuring i was undoing, and not tightening,
if its the drivers side you have to pull up to undo , and the passenger side is push down to undo , this is with the breaker bar pointing toward the back of the car,
the longer the bar, the greater the pressure put on the nut and all that physics stuff
