Noise at gear selection following fluid and filter change

I have a 2000 model 4.0l sovereign and decided to change the transmission fluid and filter, I fitted a quality filter and fluid meeting the correct Jaguar spec. The noise is evident for the first few miles from cold and sounds like a wooden cotton reel spinning on a pencil, gear changes are smooth and progressive , I feel its getting worse and have a run to Leeds from Wolverhampton on Saturday this may help.
Its now covered 92,000 mies with a good service record. Thanks for any advice .

Hi macromegarage418,
When you did the transmission fluid change,how did you obtain the correct level for MAX ?
There is a specific method of achieving it.

The important part is getting the correct level while the temp is 30 C which = MAX.
