It would be helpful if you select the appropriate word from the Title to use as the Subject in your reply.

Starter motor

Postby chrisopera » Sun Jan 20, 2008 1:38 pm

Tried to start my car this morning; all I got was a lot of starter motor noise but no engagement with the engine - i.e. the starter motor turned but the engine didn't! 2 days ago I moved my car a very short distance (about 30 metres) to a legal parking spot outside myt apartment, a quick stop/start move. This may have been the cause of the problem. How do I get the starter motor to re-engage the engine and crank it?
Thanks for any suggestions,
Chris Robson, Munich.

It sounds like you've flooded the engine. This happens a lot after very short moves.
Please see tips on bulletin board under "Fuel System".

Hope these will cure problem.
